Homeruns!
Something super cool happened to Hannah and I on March 11th!
The two of us were at our softball game. It wasn't going very well. The first two innings were pretty terrible. Our team couldn't hit or field. They were really down.
So its the last inning and its the bottom of the line up. The girl who you would least expect to get hits started getting on base. Once the top came it was long bombs over the outfielders heads! We started scoring runs like crazy. I was batting 5th and Hannah was batting 6th. I got up to bat and hit a homerun over the outfielders heads! It was really cool. Then Hannah gets up and hits another homerun over the outfielders head! That was just incredible! Hannah and I just hit back to back homeruns!!!! The whole team was super pumped up not to mention Hannah and I! We still ended up loosing the game but it wasn't quite as terrible of a loss.
That was super fun! (By the way mom lost her voice for the next few days because of screaming so much. The day after she had to direct he Challenge A class. Perfect time to loose her voice, right?)
The Fly Killer
So, this happened a month or so ago and I just never got around to blogging it. But the quotes are exact. So here it is....
We had all just finished dinner. Dad had just gone on the couch to watch Baseball, Nathan and I were still sitting at the table for absolutely no reason, and Mom was in the kitchen. Hannah had just gone back to her room.
We were all just sitting there minding our own business until suddenly we hear from the back of the house, "I AM THE FLY KILLER !!!!!!" 😳. We all just stopped. Then Hannah comes stomping down the hallway saying "I have murdered two flies in the last hour! Murdered them! They are deceased!"
We all started laughing SO hard! For the past few months we still quote her. And we probably will for a while😂.
"I just like people throwing things at me"
Nathan just made us laugh really hard! I was sitting on the bar stool while Hannah, Nathan, and Mom were sitting on the couch. Mom was reading to them.
Hannah turned to me and said "Hey can you throw me an orange?" So I grabbed and orange and tossed it to her. Then Nathan looks at me and said "Can you throw me an orange too?" So I did.
After he caught it he said "Okay, take it back. I just like people throwing things at me". And he through it back. We all laughed really hard! It was super funny.

Leaving Hannah
Today Dad was driving Hannah and I home from softball practice. We stopped by Chicken Grill for dinner. Dad was driving, I was in the passenger seat, and Hannah was in the back. So we walked out of the restaurant and Dad and I got in the car. He turned on the truck and started driving away. We heard like a weird banging or tapping noise and dad looked at me and whispered "what is she doing back there" I turned around to see through the window Hannah running outside the truck! She was just kind of smiling. But neither Dad nor I knew that she wasn't in the truck! It wasn't on purpose😂. Sometimes Dad will start driving away without Nathan but he'd of course always stop and let him get in. Hannah thought that's what Dad was doing, but he had no idea!! He almost actually drove away without her. That was super funny!😂

Nicole's New Job!
Hello Everyone! This is Nicole! So I thought you all should know that I recently got a job! I'm working at Kilwins for one of my dad's customers. It's a lot of fun! My main job is scooping ice cream but I also sell chocolates and fudge and run the cash register and do inventories. I've really enjoyed it so far. I'm being paid 10 dollars and hours so its pretty good.
This was me on my first day.
Unfortunately I do have to wear a mask the whole time. And gloves, but it doesn't bother me a whole lot so its bearable.
Like I said my dad's customer is the owner. And his son or stepson is the manager. Mr. Leslie (the owner) kept asking my dad if I wanted to work there. So eventually I decided I would try. I don't see Mr. Leslie very often though. Ian Moyer (the manager) is there all day everyday. And he likes baseball!!! So its fun when we talk about that.
Since I'm a minor there are like a whole bunch of rules for me working. It's kind of crazy and too long, boring, and confusing to share now.
Oh! I forgot! Harper Lackey, a really close friend of mine, is also working there! So sometimes we get to share shifts which is fun!
So, yup! Its been really fun!

Mock Trial
Silver Springs, Adventure Island, and CoolToday Park
This weekend we went to Ocala to see our Grammy (Valarie) and Gramps (Greg), and meet up with dad who had driven down from North Carolina where he was working this week. On Saturday we went to Silver Springs...
There we went Kayaking on a river. It was a lot of fun (it was also hard and tiring😉) Here are some pictures of us on the river...

Nathan At Brookes Burgers
A Few Things That Happened Between February and July
Soooo... It is July, 2020. 2020 was supposed to be an awesome year. But then COVID-19 (Corona Virus Disease - 2019) happened. It's a virus that originated in Wuhan city, China. I've heard a few different theories on how it actually became infectious to humans. At first it was just a virus that China had and was making a big deal over... until it got to America. Then people started "taking it more seriously". It's hard to remember how it started off here, because it only got more exaggerated. The CDC said that if you got the virus, any other sickness, or if you just don't feel well then you had to self-quarantine for 14 days to keep from spreading it to others. Oh! And America invented this new term called "Social distancing", which means you have to stay 6 feet away from everyone around you. Plus, you should wear a mask! And Gloves. And have plexiglass between cashiers and the people who are checking out. Things just got worse. AND, all the doctors and scientists are trying to scare the country with COVID! They say "The death cases are rising! 142,755 people have already died of COVID-19, and there have been almost 4 million confirmed COVID cases". Wow! Scary! But when you do the math... only 0.04% of people with COVID die. 0.04%!!! Gosh, quit exaggerating! Anyways it's only going to get worse. I keep saying that when me and my siblings have kids we're going to tell them about what life was like before 2020. How no one had to wear masks... in fact that it was illegal to cover your face in a public area. So that's what's been going on with COVID-19. (BTW me and Dad think that the family has already had it, and that we were just asymptomatic.)Here Are Just a Few Exciting Things That Happened Between February And July:
Literally 1 1/2 weeks before Corona invaded America... Hannah almost broke her face on a softball. She was playing around on the field after one of my games with another teammate. Our dad and another dad where throwing softballs from the outfield into the infield and Hannah and her friend would run up to them and try to hit them on the run, with their bat, back to the outfield. Well it was supposed to be Hannah's turn to run up and hit it but the friend ran in front of her and tipped the ball off the bat. It flew back and hit Hannah right under the eye. We left about an hour later and took her to the hospital. She got a CAT scan which showed that she had no broken bones. So she was fine, it just hurt. But... The next day mom and dad were going to leave for Las Vegas. They still left since Hannah was fine. But she had some bad bruising on her face. This is a picture of her a few days after the incident...
My whole Challenge B class wrote a short story the last semester. It was basically a book or story that was up to ten pages long. Well mine ended up being like 16 pages long, but my teacher (Mom) said it was OK. I pretty much just made an extended version of the Nancy Drew book called The Mystery of the Lilac Inn. I used the same criminal and had her come back for revenge on Nancy. Then I created my own detective who actually solves the mystery. I've started making more books so maybe I'll have a type of series of short stories.
This is my short story in it's own hardcover case. (mom and dad did that for me for my birthday) →
I fell like I have to show you this picture. This is Molly but we like to call her a "pathetic loser" when she tries to claim our beds as hers...
There is so much more I could tell you about... birthdays, and road trips, and hanging out with friends...but this post is already pretty long so that's it for now!😁
