Last weekend we made an impromtu visit to the beach for burgers and fun. Grammy and Gramps came along, as well as our friend Jeremy and his two children, who are just a little older than Nicole.
We had a perfectly wonderful time. Jeremy had been away all week working several hours away, so some high quality family time was is need.
This was Nathan's first time to the beach. He wasn't terribly impressed with the cold water and sticky sand, but other than that...he seemed to have a fun time.
It was very windy, so the waves were to big to take the kids in, and the water is still a little cold. But, Nicole and Hannah had fun playing in the sand, and at the edge of the water. Actually, Nicole was being pretty brave and going in the water alone...until she asked if there were fish in there...when she quickly moved away from the waves because the fish "might get her".
Someone before us had made an alligator out of sand, so just before we left, the girls had fun destroying the alligator. I thought Nicole asked Jeremy if he wanted to help "wrestle the alligator", but really she said "wreck the alligator".

Hi Michele, What a wonderful time we had with that darling little boy. He is just adorable. We did miss seeing the girls, but maybe another time.
